NavonaAI

NavonaAI shows Shopify shoppers who are about to abandon their cart a unique discount code that only works during that visit, with no email or phone number required. Plans from $39/month, priced by sessions, with a 14-day free trial.

See on App Store

NavonaAI, listed on Shopify as NavonaAI: Stop Abandoned Carts, tries to stop cart abandonment while the shopper is still on your store instead of chasing them afterwards. When a visitor with items in the cart shows signs of leaving, the app displays a popup with a unique discount code that is valid only for that visit. Shoppers do not have to give an email address or phone number, and an unused code is deactivated within a few minutes. The app is built by NavonaAI Inc. in San Francisco and has been on the Shopify App Store since April 21, 2026. It does not send recovery emails or SMS, so it is meant to run alongside the abandoned-cart flows you already have in tools like Klaviyo or Omnisend.

Key features

  • Abandonment prediction on desktop and mobile that decides which shoppers see an offer; according to the listing, the AI offers a discount only to shoppers who need one. The developer says that in the first 30 days the model relies more on standard signals such as exit intent, time on page and scroll depth.
  • Single-use codes created when the popup appears, as a percentage or fixed amount, with a minimum spend, product and collection exclusions and control over how the code combines with your other discounts. Tiered offers by cart value start on Pro.
  • Popup Studio for editing the copy, colors, fonts, icon and layout without touching the theme. The number of popup languages depends on the plan, and the freer Pro editor comes with Scale.
  • A dashboard with abandonment rate, prevented carts and added revenue, Shopify order tags for orders placed with a NavonaAI code, and bot filtering for the analytics.
  • Offer A/B tests, such as two discount values, from Pro, and popup design tests on Scale.
  • Installation through a theme app embed for Online Store 2.0 themes; stores on older themes are asked to contact support. The app is available in English only.

Pricing and trial

The Shopify listing prices plans by storefront sessions and adds a usage charge once the included sessions run out. Starter costs $39/month for 10,000 sessions, then $4.50 per 1,000. Growth costs $79/month for 40,000 sessions, then $3.50 per 1,000, and keeps 30 days of analytics instead of 7. Pro costs $149/month for 100,000 sessions, then $2.50 per 1,000, and adds tiered offers, offer A/B tests, a report on the most abandoned products and priority support. Scale costs $299/month for 250,000 sessions, then $1.50 per 1,000, and adds the Pro popup editor, design tests, geo and visitor segmentation and unlimited popup languages. Every plan has a 14-day free trial, and usage charges are billed every 30 days.

Sessions count every visit to your store, not just shoppers with a cart, so estimate the bill from your Shopify analytics. A store with 30,000 sessions a month would pay $39 plus $90 of overage on Starter, more than Growth at $79. The listing does not say whether sessions filtered out as bots count towards the allowance. The developer's website adds a Done-For-You plan at $599/month with unlimited sessions and a dedicated team, plus paid add-ons for the lower plans. It differs from the listing in places: it gives Pro five popup languages where the listing says three, and the add-on prices are not consistent across the page. On Starter, Growth and Pro, the popup shows a “Powered by NavonaAI” badge unless you pay to remove it. Confirm the plan and the usage cap on Shopify's approval screen.

Rating and reviews

On November 6, 2026, NavonaAI had 5.0 from 12 Shopify reviews, all five-star. Merchants from the US, the Netherlands, Denmark, the UK, Bulgaria and the Philippines describe a quick setup, a popup that feels less intrusive than other conversion tools, and sales they believe they would otherwise have lost. Several single out the unique code that expires when the shopper leaves, and a seller of higher-ticket products says the usual abandoned-cart emails don't always work for it. The team gets repeated credit for fast answers and a willingness to customize. Portland Syrups, the reviewer with the longest use at four months, says it saw a lift in conversion only after fine-tuning the settings.

Read the rating as an early signal. The app is about six months old, six of the twelve reviews were posted within a month of installing, four come from stores in Bulgaria and one has no text. There are no critical reviews yet to show how problems are handled.

Pitfalls

Attributed revenue is not the same as extra revenue. NavonaAI credits itself with an order when the shopper used one of its codes. Some of those shoppers would have bought anyway, and on their orders the discount is pure cost. The developer acknowledges this in its own material: it reports about $10.50 of attributed revenue per $1 of discount across 38 stores (measured on August 25, 2026), while stating that attribution does not prove the offer caused the sale. Compare your overall conversion rate and margin with the weeks before installing, rather than relying on the dashboard figure alone.

Protect your margins. Shoppers who notice the offer may start expecting it. The developer argues that one-time codes that expire with the visit avoid this, but watch how often returning customers use them. Exclude low-margin products, set a minimum spend and decide how the code stacks with your other promotions; our guide to combining discounts in Shopify explains the rules. Fix basic friction first, too: our checkout optimization tips cost nothing in discounts.

Test the popup and review data access. Enable the app embed on a duplicate theme and share a theme preview link to check the popup on desktop and real phones before going live. Shopify lists access to customer names, emails, phone numbers and addresses, IP addresses, geolocation and browsing behavior, plus permission to edit orders, discounts, web pixels and Shopify Markets settings. The developer's GDPR page says customer data and deletion requests are recorded and handled by a person rather than processed automatically. If you sell in the EU, check how the app's behavioral tracking fits your cookie consent setup. This review is based on the listing, merchant reviews and the developer's published materials, not a hands-on installation.

Conclusion

NavonaAI is worth a trial if your checkout is already in good shape, abandoned-cart emails are running, and your margins can absorb a one-time discount for shoppers about to leave. It does one job, unlike broader popup platforms such as Privy that also collect emails and send campaigns, and that focus keeps setup short and the offer free of forms. Pick the plan from your real session count, use the 14-day trial to compare conversion and margin with the weeks before, and only then judge the revenue figure in the dashboard.
