I am excited to announce the release of the new core feature in Candy Rack – the drawer/slide cart.

Built-in upsell offers were one of our most requested features (together with A/B testing we released in October). And it's no surprise, we had covered the whole purchase journey except the cart.
We were thinking about two options – building an offer block that merchants can integrate within their existing cart, or building our own drawer cart into which we can implement all our e-commerce knowledge and make it the best cart in the Shopify ecosystem. We chose the latter option because we wanted to control the experience and offer more than "just" upsells.
The all-in-one upsell app
Starting today, Candy Rack is one of the few upsell apps on the Shopify App Store that actually covers the entire purchase journey. You can take advantage of these placements:
- Embedded (native) offers on product pages
- Bundles and frequently bought together widgets on product pages
- Pop-up offers on product pages
- Embedded (native) offers in cart
- Pop-up offers in cart
- Checkout offers
- Post-purchase offers
- Thank-you page offers
All these are available using one app and giving merchants the ultimate monetization toolbox.
Super fast drawer cart optimized for performance
We built the cart using the latest Shopify Cart API, which makes it extremely fast and only 10 KB in size. It doesn't run on any backend, which makes it reliable and immune to any datacenter outages.

It's compatible with major Shopify themes (both free and paid), and we can make it compatible with almost any theme.
The cart itself is pretty minimalistic and simple, so you can tailor it to match your brand and storefront.

The current release supports the built-in upsell offers that can be displayed vertically or horizontally. I definitely recommend a vertical (list) layout, as it's easier to scroll on mobile devices.
We will be adding new features quickly, and you can look forward to stuff like line-item add-ons, threshold bar, free gifts, and more customization options.
Upsell conversion? Almost 2%
We are already using the cart and upsells on one of our stores, and the results are amazing. The upsell conversion (take-rate) from the cart offers is almost 2%, making it the best-performing placement.
