We have been running our partner for a while, but lately, we do see some encouraging results. More and more people are signing up, and the monthly payouts are growing. Some partners have already exceeded the $1.000 monthly payout milestone.
The idea of our partner program is very simple and really nothing unique. Once you register, you get a custom install link for the selected app, which you share with your community. Once anyone installs it, you will see it in your dashboard as tracked install. After the merchant pays for the app subscription, you are eligible for the agreed commission.
In Digismoothie, we offer a 25% commission out of the fee paid by the merchant. So, for example, if you recommend Candy Rack to a Shopify Plus store for $199, you will be eligible for $49.75 each month. You can also split your commission between your community and offer a subscription discount. That's a great way to say, "Hey guys, I am actually a partner with this company, but you will benefit from it as well."
PartnerJam technology with reliable attribution
What's unique about our partner program is the technology behind it. When researching the usable affiliate platform for Shopify developers, we couldn't find any that would suit our needs. So we decided to develop our own solution and named it PartnerJam.
Besides the nice and simple UI, reliable attribution is the main benefit. Our technology uses direct connection through the Shopify Partner API, which ensures all partner installations are correctly tracked in a whole timeframe. That allows partners to receive recurring revenue during the entire time of app usage.
How to register as a Digismoothie partner
If you have a relevant community or you are an agency, you can join our partner program and start earning revenue immediately. Our partner program is available for all our apps with a commission of 25% and a minimum payout of $100.
- Go to registration page and create your account
- In the app marketplace, select one or multiple apps by clicking on Activate
- Once you activate the app, you will see your unique referral link for app installation
- Now all you need to do is to share and promote the link to get your first referrals and payouts
Once you exceed the payout limit of $100, you can request the payout via your PayPal account.
How to register as a Shopify app developer and manage your own program

As for now, PartnerJam supports only commissions from recurring subscriptions, but we are working hard to enable it also for one-time and usage-based models.
