Most stores do this with a bar at the top of the page, often supplemented by countdowns or popups. The right app depends on how many messages you run, whether they need targeting by country or customer, and how much traffic your plan has to cover.

What to compare before choosing an announcement app
- Your theme first: many Shopify themes include a built-in announcement bar. If you only need one static message, you may not need an app, and running both can create overlapping bars.
- Usage limits: several free plans cap monthly views or impressions, typically between 1,000 and 2,000, and paid tiers scale with traffic. Estimate your monthly page views before choosing a plan.
- Targeting and scheduling: country-specific messages, Shopify Markets targeting and scheduled campaigns are usually paid features. Check which plan includes them if you plan sales in advance.
- Performance and data access: every storefront script adds weight, and some apps request customer and order data. Check page speed, mobile layout and checkout after installing, and remove apps you no longer use.
